Metacognition

Metacognition is your awareness of your own thinking and behaviour around a skill — the ability to notice, reflect on, and self-correct.

Metacognition is thinking about your own thinking. In the self-assessment it measures how accurately you can observe your own patterns around a skill and adjust them — the awareness that makes deliberate improvement possible.

Its role in your Kompunik score

Metacognition is a scored capability layer at a moderate weight. Strong metacognition tends to accelerate growth, because you can only correct what you can notice — so it complements the behavioural evidence rather than replacing it.
