Did You Know? Plan Your Learning with the Smart Planner

February 21, 2026·2 min read

The Kompunik learning planner helps you create a sustainable study rhythm by mapping all 29 learning sessions (1 introduction plus 28 skills) onto your calendar. It adapts to your pace and sends you reminders so you never fall behind.

The 3-Step Setup Wizard

When you first access the planner, a wizard guides you through three steps to configure your schedule:

  1. Pace selection: Choose how many sessions per day you want to complete, from 1 to 5. This determines how quickly you move through the course
  2. Recurrence configuration: Choose your learning rhythm: every day, every other day, or specific weekdays using a 7-button day picker
  3. Preferences: Set your preferred learning time, start date, whether to skip weekends and bank holidays, your country (for holiday detection), and your timezone

As you adjust the settings, a live estimate shows when you will finish the course.

Three Calendar Views

Once your plan is created, you see a full calendar with three view options:

  • Month view: A traditional month grid showing session blocks on scheduled days. Great for seeing the big picture
  • Week view: A 7-day view with more detail per day, useful for planning the current week
  • Agenda view: A chronological list of all sessions with an unscheduled section at the bottom for any sessions you have removed from the calendar

Drag-and-Drop Rescheduling

Life does not always go according to plan. Simply drag any session block to a different day to reschedule it. The change saves instantly. An unscheduled sidebar on desktop shows sessions you have removed so you can easily drag them back onto the calendar.

ICS Calendar Invites

After setting up your plan, you can send yourself calendar invites. These are standard ICS files compatible with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook. Each learning session becomes a calendar event with a 15-minute reminder alarm. If you reschedule sessions and resend, the ICS files include updated sequence numbers so your calendar reflects the changes.

Email Reminders

A daily automated job checks for sessions scheduled in the next 24 hours and sends you a reminder email. Each session is only reminded once. Combined with the calendar invites, you have multiple touchpoints to keep you on track.

Home Page Integration

The home page shows a planner card with either a setup prompt (if you have not created a plan yet) or a progress bar showing your next scheduled session and overall completion status.
