Did You Know? Personalize Your Kompunik Experience

Kompunik puts you in control of how the platform looks and feels. From your avatar to your notification preferences, every aspect of the experience can be tailored to suit you.

Avatar Customization

Your avatar appears everywhere on the platform: posts, comments, navigation, profile, constellation map center, and more. You can customize it from your profile settings using three DiceBear illustration styles:

  • Notionists: Clean line art with a minimalist aesthetic. Monochrome style without hair color options
  • Lorelei: Soft watercolour illustrations with customizable hair, skin, and accessory colors
  • Croodles: Hand-drawn sketch style with a playful, informal feel

Each style offers category-based customization (face, hair, skin, accessories, body) with variant grids, color swatches, and a randomize button for inspiration. A live preview updates as you make changes.

Theme Selection

Choose between light mode, dark mode, or system mode (which follows your operating system preference). The platform defaults to dark mode for a comfortable reading experience. Switch anytime from the Settings tab in your profile.

Language Selection

Kompunik supports six languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Polish. Change your language from the profile settings. The entire interface, including navigation, buttons, notifications, and all content, switches instantly to your chosen language.

Public Profile

Set up a public profile to share your achievements with the world. From the Community section in your profile settings:

  • Handle: Choose a unique username (3-30 characters, lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens, underscores)
  • Visibility: Toggle between private and public. Private profiles return a 404 to anyone who visits
  • Share cards: Generate branded share cards for achievements, skill level-ups, badge awards, and streak milestones that look great on LinkedIn, X, and other platforms

Notification Preferences

Kompunik sends in-app notifications for 26 different event types across 8 categories. From the notification preferences section in your profile settings, you can toggle each category on or off:

  • Community: Post reactions, comments, votes
  • Organization: Seat assignments, role changes, team additions
  • Content: Playlist assignments, feedback notes
  • Challenges: Team joins, step completions
  • Ambassador: Referrals, level-ups, mission completions
  • Planner: Session reminders
  • Achievements: New badges earned, certificate eligibility
  • Moderation: Actions taken on reported content
