Did You Know? Build Your Personal Tactic Toolkit
Tactics are the action-oriented heart of Kompunik. While audio tracks teach you the concepts, tactics give you concrete things you can do right now to improve your soft skills. They unlock automatically as you progress through the learning content.
How Tactics Unlock
Each audio track is linked to one or more tactics. When you reach 80% of a track, the associated tactic card unlocks with a fly animation that arcs from the player to the Tactics icon in your navigation bar. This visual cue makes the connection between learning and doing feel tangible.
The Tactics Gallery
The tactics page presents all your unlocked tactics in a Pinterest-style masonry layout. Each tactic card shows a cover image, the associated skill and pillar with color coding, a theme line summarizing the tactic, and bullet points with specific actions you can take.
- Responsive layout: 1 column on mobile, 2 on tablet, 3-4 on desktop
- Skill and pillar tags: Each card shows which skill it belongs to, colored by pillar
- Audio link: Jump directly back to the source audio track from any tactic card
Search and Filter
As your collection grows, you need tools to find the right tactic quickly:
- Text search: Search across titles, theme lines, bullets, and skill names with instant results
- Tag filtering: A horizontal scrollable tag bar lets you filter by content tags extracted from the tactic data
- Favorites filter: A special system tag shows only your favorited tactics with a count badge
Favorites
Tap the heart icon on any tactic card to add it to your favorites. The action is instant with optimistic UI updates. Your favorites persist across devices and are always accessible through the Favorites filter tag.
Personal Playlists
Go beyond favorites by organizing tactics into named playlists. Tap the playlist button on any tactic card to open the playlist picker modal, where you can add the tactic to existing playlists or create a new one on the spot. Playlists appear as filter tags in the tag bar, so you can quickly switch between collections.
Shared Tactics
If you belong to an organization, your manager may share playlists of recommended tactics with you. These appear with a blue badge and are accessible through the special filter. Shared tactics are viewable even if you have not yet unlocked them through your own learning progress, giving you a preview of what is ahead.

Joss is the founder of Kompunik, a multilingual learning platform about soft skills and career-orientation. Across twenty years in both global corporations and start-ups, he has built and led teams in the UK, India and France, reporting to stakeholders from the US, Mexico, Brazil to China, Japan, Australia and Africa. Twice he joined a business at its earliest stage — a handful of inspired people — and left a decade later with a 30-to-50-strong organisation, products performing in their markets, and recurring revenues more than doubled. Along the way he specialised in building software, data and AI-driven products that industry leaders in the telecom and agriculture sectors rely on. That experience — hiring, motivating and retaining the people who make it happen — is what Kompunik is built to pass on.
